News

Waunakee High School boys hockey team beat Edgewood 7-3 onThursday night

It was the second-to-last regular season game for both teams, and both teams could meet up in the regional final next week.

It was no surprise to see the Ford brothers scoring for Waunakee. In the first period, Keegan Ford stole the puck as Edgewood tried to clear the zone. He scored his 24th goal of the year to make it 1-0 in favor of Waunakee.

Keegan's brother, Jason Ford, scored next for Waunakee. He skated through everyone to get his 42nd goal of the year. That made it 2-0 Warriors, who led 3-1 after the first period.

In the second period, Edgewood seemed to regain the momentum and put two goals on the scoreboard. But with less than 2 minutes to go in the period, Jason Ford went the length of the ice and buried it into the lower corner for his 43nd of the year. He scored a third goal in the third period to get the hat trick.
