Annual 'Souper Bowl' Attracts Hundreds | News
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
A day before the Super Bowl, hundreds of people lined up for an altogether different, though similarly named, event.
The annual "Souper Bowl" event is now in its 16th year raising money for Habitat for Humanity. This years Souper Bowl was held at Madison West High School, where attendees bought bowls made by members of the community.
"We plan to raise between $25,000 and $30,000," said organizer Mary Beth Falish. "All the proceeds go to our 12th student-built home, which is something that's really unique about our chapter. All of the work and the money are from our specific chapter."
About 2,000 people came to the event, which is Habitat for Humanitys biggest fundraiser of the year.
