Student Attacked On West High School Campus | Crime
Two teenagers attacked a 14-year-old boy and took his iPod at West High School Wednesday evening, according to the Madison Police Department.
Police said the victim had walked into the Ash Street side of the school when he was approached by another teen from behind at about 5:15. After the teen initially refused to give up his iPod, the other boy started punching him in the face, police said. They said the victim ended up in the fetal position on the ground and was yelling for help.
Police said security officers heard the screams and came to the aid of the victim, causing a pair of teens to run away. Police said the victim did not suffer significant injuries.
The first teen was black, 14 to 17 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 175 to 200 pounds and was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black pants and was carrying a black backpack, police said.
The second teen was black, about 14 to 17 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 175 to 200 pounds and was wearing a black sweatshirt and dark pants, police said.
Police said they have surveillance video of the boys involved and are reviewing it in hopes of identifying the teens responsible.
