Police said a chicken wing restaurant was robbed at gunpoint Friday night.

The Madison Police Department said a man entered the Wingstop restaurant on Regent Street at about 10:15 p.m. carrying a silver-colored handgun.

According to the report, the man ordered employees to the ground and demanded cash from the register. Employees gave the armed robber the money and the robber fled.

The robber was described as black with light skin, wearing a hooded dark coat, dark jeans and red-and-black tennis shoes. He was seen getting into a dark four-door sedan described as a Chevy Malibu.

Police asked anyone with information about the robbery to contact the department or Crime Stoppers.
